The past five months have been full of excitement here at the Scranton Cultural Center as the restoration project continued, both inside and out. Our Weinberg Theatre was closed to allow for full restoration of many areas, including the ceiling and our beautiful proscenium arch, which has not been seen in decades. But the busyness of this massive undertaking didn’t stop us from hosting a variety of programming and events throughout the summer!

Our 12th Annual Summer Camp Program was better than ever with five full-scale productions and a newly added middle division, which sold out in record time. It is a joy and a privilege to watch these talented performers bring such bright energy to the building we are working tirelessly to preserve for future generations. While they weren’t able to perform in our Weinberg Theatre during this season, they put on incredible productions in our Grand Ballroom as well as Shopland Hall….
