Building Tours

General Tour

Our general tour is specific to the key elements of the Masonic Temple. This tour is designed for all ages. Our tours teach both kids and adults the uses of the building, today as well as, inform them of the architecture of the building and history of the Masons. Our tour will guide groups through the levels and rooms including the two theaters, the grand ballroom, the library, the Masonic lodges and more! Each space is used for a wide variety of events and will amaze children and adults when they find out how much goes on behind the walls of Scranton’s architectural phenomenon.

Scheduled Tours are $3.00 per person, with a minimum charge of $60.00. School field trips may have additional services for an additional charge.

The Scranton Cultural Center provides many opportunities for classes, school groups, children of all ages – to engage in history, the arts, cultural, science and entertainment opportunities.

A Day at the SCC

A local field-trip favorite! To experience “A Day at the SCC” local school children and other educational groups come to the SCC to discover its history by taking a tour of the magnificent building and also get the opportunity to participate in two arts-based workshops of their choice! 

Come discover an afternoon of history and fun at the Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple! This exciting program is fun for all ages and features a tour of the historic architecture of the center as well as your choice of two hands-on workshops including instruction in theatre, dance, drawing, mixed media, music, and magic! Admittance is $8 per child depending on the selected workshop (Minimum charge of $200). Groups of up to 150 students are welcome! History Mystery Scavenger Hunt

The History Mystery Scavenger Hunt is an interactive field trip at the Scranton Cultural Center perfect for kids 8 years old and up!  Teams will race from floor to floor, navigating through the most interesting rooms of the building with a blueprint map to find numbered clues that lead you to historic facts about the Masonic Temple.  Your day also includes your choice of either an interactive Theatre workshop or a Magic Show by Damian the Magician!  A space to eat bagged lunches will be provided.

Pricing:  $8 per student (Minimum Charge $200.00).
